956. Firehouse Subs

The Goodness Of Subs

I first discovered Firehouse on the way to San Angelo along Highway 26 in Hurst, Euless, or Bedford. Who really knows where one ends and the other begins? With all the hot sauces to include their own Datil Pepper Sauce and the Engineer (turkey and mushrooms) became my go to.

A Butt Load of Hot Sauce

So much hot sauce to try and a numbering system to go with each for their relative heat level. Watch out for 8’s and only try 9’s if you are living on the edge and hate your tongue, lips, and whatever else they stuff touches.

Firehouse Subs Employees

You may think actual firefighting hunks work there but they do not. It’s probably High Schoolers and young adults, looking something like this…

Happy Employees, Firehouse Subs

But there is some fire house connection and there’s a Captain Sorensen and his line of hot sauces. You can rest easy knowing that some proceeds go to some type of firefighters fund. Next time there’s foreman at the intersection approaching ya with a boot, just say, hey man, I just ate at Firehouse Subs. We good!!! Or just give both places.

The Engineer, big on taste,
‘Shroom High
