Garfunkel & Oates are the brainchild of Kate Micucci (yes she’s Italian) and Riki Lindhome (yes she’s the leggy blonde). And not only are they all the rage with their wildly inappropriate sexual innuendo and just above the table sex references in comedy folk music, they also are actresses, voice actresses, comedians, etc. They even have one season of a comedy TV series, eponymously names.
Their topics range from dating, men, upbeat kazoo parades, flowery optimism, the single life, having to wax their upper lips, in vitro fertilization, etc., but it’s always upbeat, poppy and optimistic. A much needed theme for these times.
If there’s anything this world needs now, it’s a few more laughs. And G & F delivers in spades. In spades. A good thing.
