If you can’t tell, I like comedy & comedians. What a tough job that must be? Stand up in front of a room & try to get people to laugh. If you don’t, it’s going to be one seriously uncomfortable & awkward night. During these weird COVID times I find medicine is probably the best medicine… but somewhere down the line is laughter. It’s not the best medicine but also not the worst. Strychnine might be the worst. Don’t worry that’s my material, not Demetri’s.
I’ve featured a few female comediennes here in the good things so figured I should balance it out with some dudes. Dudes can be funny too. Take Demetri for instance. He is both a dude & funny. He list his major influences as Stephen Wright who I love. They share those very bizarre one-liner random mental gymnastics quirky world observations that slay me. He also reminds me of a more sober Mitch Hedburg, who I also love.
Swimming is a confusing sport, because sometimes you do it for fun, and other times you do it to not die. And when I’m swimming, sometimes I’m not sure which one it is. I gotta go by the outfit. Pants – uh oh. Bathing suit – okay. Naked – we’ll see. Should I be swimming faster, or am I getting laid?

If you want to make a mythical creature, just take a regular animal and add wings to it. A horse becomes a Pegasus, a lion becomes a griffin, and a hawk… becomes a double hawk.
I keep a lighter in my back pocket all the time. I’m not a smoker, I just really like certain songs.
